|| While I was in California last week I was able to go hiking in Pinnacles National Monument with my parents. It is beautiful, but rugged terrain. We were also hiking there after some much needed rain had fallen in the preceding days, so streams were just beginning to flow, and gurgling water accompanied us throughout.

We only had enough time to hike a scant 3 miles, but even then there were plenty of opportunities for pictures. I look forward to going back later this year and, with more time available, exploring more of its treasures.
