|| I took a drawing class last year, and have had it on my list to draw more ever since. So for 2016 I have been doing a doodle a day on Autodesk’s free Sketchbook app for Android. My doodle’s thus far have been, well, interesting. One of the best things my drawing class taught was to create fearlessly; to put marks on the page without worry of how they were going to turn out. So I have been doing a lot of experimenting, and just trying to have fun with it. Since I am creating all of these doodles electronically, I’ve been using a lot of tools unavailable with traditional paper methods, such as layers, symmetry, and shapes. My teacher would frown at it, but in many ways I’m more comfortable with it than I was with pastels, ink, and pencil. I’ve uploaded what I have done to date to flickr, and will continue to upload them here and there.
Please feel free to share any thoughts, and I hope you enjoy!
